Enpro performed an environmental audit of the facility. We walked the site, interviewed personnel, comprehensively reviewed operations, and inventoried on site chemicals. We identified and summarized applicable environmental regulations and guidelines, and compiled a database of all existing permits and their monitoring, record keeping and reporting requirements. We evaluated the facility's compliance with existing permits and prepared a list of corrective actions with a suggested timeline to ensure conformance with permit requirements. We provided extensive recommendations to improve document control, environmental record keeping, and implement computerized inventory tracking of hazardous materials and wastes. Using our action item checklists the plant rapidly came into compliance with outstanding requirements and the plant's top management agreed to implement our recommendations.
