Evaluated remedial alternatives for excavating and treating lead and copper containing soils at a 3-acre gun firing range located at a naval air station in northern California. Identified regulatory criteria and treatment goals and formulated remedial alternatives to meet goals. Evaluated the technical feasibility and prepared engineering cost estimates for treating 85,000 cubic feet of soil using various treatment processes including physical separation, soil stabilization, soil fixation and soil washing. Recommended the most cost effective and technically appropriate alternative.
